Main Responsibilities

Lead the forecasting and reporting process for the Japan division of the Global Energy
Group, including preparation of budgets, consolidation of financial statements, and
presentation of financial data, including:
(i) Budgeting: to validate and analyze the data and assumptions
(ii) P&L and Plant Assets reporting: to ensure monthly rolling P&L forecast and plant assets
report are completed with quality analysis at project and country level
(iii) Weekly/Monthly Cash Flow Forecast: to monitor and analyze the weekly/monthly
cash flow movement
Provide thoughtful and timely analysis of forecast and variance to actuals with actionable
insights communicated to business leaders.
Establish improvements to financial forecasting, including, but not limited to reconciled
regional balance sheets, implementing and managing a dashboard system and
communicating forecasting schedule.
Partner with business leaders in development, EPC, Asset Management, O&M and others to
optimize forecasts, manage risks and drive improvements to financial performance.
Develop, consolidate and coordinate budget process, including the elaboration of forecasting
models and database files.
Assist in the company’s monthly, quarterly and yearly closing, conducting account
reconciliations and analysis as required;
Update cost and expense trend reports, analyzing variations and ensuring alignment with the
forecast.
Carry out daily operation and process project payment

Handling local compliance with applicable accounting standards (both local and US GAAP)
and local tax affairs.
Maintenance of Data and Excel Templates:
(i) To maintain the group database with updated information
(ii) To assist the Accounting Manager for updating or creating new excel templates
as per any new reporting requirements.
Ad-hoc:
To work with the Financial Controller for any ad-hoc request and projects;
Design processes and develop templates to track project investment and cash flow information.

Bachelor degree or above in Accounting or Finance
5+ years’ financial analysis/accounting experience with additional exposure to cash and
payment management
USGAAP based accounting knowledge and experience
Experience with project accounting
Strong Excel skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to solve problems independently in a fast paced environment
Strong desire to learn and grow
