Our company is a Japanese startup company that develops and implements small-scale decentralized water recycling systems. With our groundbreaking approach, we seek structural solutions to the world’s water crisis to make a water-stress-free future a reality.

Together with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, Our company is introducing a new water treatment technology to the country, which makes it possible to reuse more than 98% of domestic wastewater onsite and at the household level. To push forward our pilot, we are now looking for a field engineer who will be responsible for the installation and the maintenance of the new water treatment systems across multiple project sites. A successful candidate will also be in charge of initial communications with our end-users in the event of a problem or initial defects.

Requirements

・Resident of Antigua and Barbuda with the right to work in Antigua
・Holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in engineering or a related field, in combination with 2-3 years of relevant work experience
・More than 5 years of professional experience in the maintenance and service sector; demonstrated track record of independent, field problem-solving will be considered in lieu of the bachelor’s degree
・Ability to work closely with and to provide concrete feedback to our product design and quality assurance teams in Japan
・Customer centricity and strong customer-facing communication skills
・A startup mindset - adaptability to any potential changes in the project setup or product design itself
・Ability to travel to Japan to complete multiple, month-long training programs onsite
・Basic digital technology skills (e.g., MS Office, Google Spreadsheet, Slack, Google Meet)

Other desired skills include:
・Maintenance service experience in the water- and/or housing-related industry
・Management experience of external maintenance service contractors
・Electrical engineering background
・Experience in construction work - in particular water supply and drainage piping installation
・Knowledge or experience in water quality sampling
