The assistant Vice President (AVP) of Clearing & Settlement will lead and actively participate in the daily operations of Custody Settlement* and Third Party Clearing (TPC), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and operational excellence. This role is ideal for candidates with prior team management experience who are looking to advance to a Vice President role in the future. You will play a critical role in improving processes, leading strategic projects, and taking a hands-on approach to daily operations. Flexibility to work at the Omiya office on a rotation basis is required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

5-10 years of experience in securities operations, with a focus on custody and clearing, and direct experience in securities settlements. Prior team management experience is essential.
Leadership Aspiration:

A proactive interest in advancing your career to Vice President, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional growth.
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in securities settlement systems (JASDEC, BOJ-NET, PSMS, JSCC, JDCC, etc.), and strong MS Office skills.
Certification:

JSDA Certified Securities Sales Representative & Internal Controls Manager (required).
Language Skills:

Business-level English and native-level Japanese, with strong communication skills in both languages.
Soft Skills:

Patient, persistent, and adaptable. A strong problem solver with leadership abilities, capable of guiding seasoned teams through complex operational challenges.
Flexibility for BPC Rotation:

Willingness and ability to work from the Omiya office on a rotation basis.


Key Challenges:
